Winton Grange, Alfriston

Project monitoring on behalf of Clydesdale Bank, to give independent development advice on barn conversion to provide a luxury country estate property.

Funded by Yorkshire Bank, the instruction involved working alongside the developers to ensure the project was brought in on time and on budget.

The completed project was valued at £2.5M and comprised of a luxury 5 bedroom country home, including equestrian stables, a bridle path and indoor sand training facilities.

The Old Mill, Uxbridge

Consultancy services were utilised in this instance by Clydesdale Bank to minimise financial losses when their developer borrower got into difficulties.

The project involved the refurbishment and conversion of a structurally unstable derelict Grade 2 Listed mill and residential buildings dating from the 1700’s to rebuild 7 new luxury houses and the construction of 9 new high specification residential units. The scheme has an estimated Gross Development Value of £11million.

Acting as the Clydesdale’s advisor, our initial role was to liaise with all parties including the existing Project Team, the Developers and the Bank funders, improve communication and clarify roles and responsibilities.

Having re-established the remaining construction budget and programme, we then project managed the scheme to partial completion and agreed and implemented marketing strategies to provide a phased-sale of the completed units.
